Post-It Picture Frame Present found on Paper Wings

What you need:
clear frames (Can grab at the Dollar Tree for, you guessed it…$1.00)
post-it’s (Check Walmart, Dollar Tree or even Staples!)
scrapbook paper/embellishments

I think it’s pretty self explanatory how to do this little project, but here goes…
Cut scrapbook paper to fit frame, stick post-its on the front, and attach ribbon or embellishment. Done. 🙂

I am loving this DIY Bird Nest Necklace for an idea for teachers and even for Mother’s Day. Sarah Ortega has a great posting on how to make the super cute Bird Nest Necklace!

Bird Nest Necklace

What you’ll need:
– Jewelry wire (I prefer using a 24 gauge because it is easier to manipulate but the 20 gauge can work well too with the help of some round nose pliers)
– pearls or glass beads
– necklace chain
– jump ring and a clasp

Directions: (you can visit the posting HERE to get pictures with each step)

  • Select the beads you want, string them onto your wire and arrange them as you’d like.
  • then simply wrap the wire around the beads
  • wrap some wire in the space between each bead (I like the look of three loops but you could just do one or two if you prefer)
  • this is what the back looked like. (In the other necklaces I attached a jump ring but on this one I just formed a loop with the wire.)
  • now attach a jump ring and a clasp to the end of a necklace chain
  • and this is what you end up with 🙂

On Skip To My Lou I found teacher Gift #6 which is on my list to make! This gift is called Stamp of Approval which is so fitting for my son’s teacher since they stamp the kiddo’s homework when they bring it back. If your not very crafty… This one is right up your alley.. Very simple to make.

Stamp of Approval

  • Wooden Box (I have found these at Dollar Tree, Michael’s & Hobby Lobby for cheap!)
  • Ink Pad
  • Stamps
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Ribbon
  • Decorations (Stickers etc)

Directions:

  • First paint the inside of the box with an antique white acrylic craft paint. Then simply covered the box with scrapbook paper when the paint had dried. Cut into the edges {corners} of the box with scissors so that the paper would wrap around the box nicely. Pasted it onto the box with a couple of layers Mod Podge on bottom and the top of the paper and let it dry completely between coats.
  • Add Ink Pad (Take box with you to see what fits)
  • Add Stamp(s)
  • Make a Tag for inside the box saying: ”Thanks for being such a great teacher. You have earned our STAMP of approval!”
  • Decorate front of box.. Maybe with teachers name…

Check out Skip to My Lou for her finished product.
