At the begining of the month, you might have remembered my post about the Kleenex program that with your purchase a Kleenex Care Package you will be given a code to share a Kleenex Care package with another.  With this program, I was sent one Kleenex Care package to use with my family as well as two others to giveaway.  I have to say these came at the most perfect time!

Just a few weeks ago, I got that dreaded call from the school that no mother wants to hear.  Mrs. McGowan…You need to come to the school right away.  We think your son Colin might have broken his wrist or his arm.  That was the worst 10 minutes in my life getting there.  My little guy was upset but so brave!  About 3 hours later…the news was in that he had two broken bones in his right arm.  I did not have my whole Kleenex Care package with me but had the travel pack of Kleenexes which were nice to have on me to help with those tears (both his and mine!).  I love the sanitizer now since it is pretty hard to wash his hand with the cast on.

Of the two packages we were sent to hand out to friends/family…My grandparents were first in my mind.  My grandpa is fighting a nasty spreading cancer and went in for a few radiation treatments.  On October 19th, I got the call from my grandma that my grandpa was not doing so well and is in the ER and they are admitting him to the Hospital.  I fell into tears…My grandpa has always been more like a father to me and even more so since I lost my father in 1998.  It was to late that night to go visit, so we went down the next day to visit.  I grabbed our Kleenex Care Package for my grandma.  My grandpa was and still is in great hands with the hospital but I wanted to help my grandma out a bit!  She just loved the care package and that the products were just the right size and do not take up a lot of room.  She has told me she has gotten quite a bit of use out of those tissues and the sanitizer.  Tomorrow I am going down to visit and she wants a little help getting those song downloads :)  We did find out that the problems he is facing now are due to the radiation treatments…and in a few weeks he will be much better!

I am a big fan of holidays and making little treats for my son and his school friends.  This year I am making these super cute Witch Hat Cookies for my son’s classroom.  I love to see the smiles on the kids from these fun simple treats.  I have learned that most times.. It does not take a lot nor a lot of money to please a kiddo!  I have also been leaving Halloween lunch notes in my son’s lunch box which he always seems to like!  I also like to find fun and free events in our community that always seems to make my son smile and that we as a family as a whole love!  We will be attending our local library’s Halloween event where we will hear a story teller as well as participate in their costume contest.  On Halloween itself, we will attended our churches fall carnival as well as stopping by a few houses for those yummy treats.

The Kleenex Brand has a great new program that allows you to share with others from your simple purchase!  The Softness Worth Sharing initiative from Kleenex allows a customer who purchases a Kleenex Brand Care Pack to do something special for a friend.  On your Kleenex Brand Care Pack you will find a code which you redeem your code at the Kleenex site HERE in order to send a care pack to someone special.

“Kleenex brand, America’s softest tissue, knows that the moments of unexpected thoughtfulness make all the difference.”
